MPI is currently seeking a Medical & Dental Service Technician to work at customer sites in Catterick, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position with a starting salary of £29,455, increasing to £32,000 within the available pay bands.

The main responsibilities of this role include inspecting, installing, servicing, and repairing various types of medical, dental, and veterinary equipment for air, land, and maritime purposes. The technician will also be responsible for managing resources to meet targets, making engineering decisions, and acting as a subject matter expert in equipment care and maintenance.

Other duties include maintaining records, using the inhouse medical and dental management database, and ensuring compliance with radiation protection rules. The technician will also be responsible for training new starters and apprentices, arranging maintenance and repairs for remote locations, and complying with safety and security regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position will have recognised and accredited qualifications in electrical or electronic engineering. They will also have completed a 6-week course in medical and dental specialist equipment and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a changing environment and adapt to different sites and regulations.

This role involves driving to customer sites, manual handling, and potentially overnight stays. The technician must be self-reliant, adaptable, and familiar with working in clinical environments and managing infection risks.
