Internship, Audit, Milton Keynes, Summer 2024

Job Description

At the core of our work is a commitment to quality. By combining passionate individuals with cutting-edge technology, we strive to build trust in society. Our team is our priority, and we tackle important challenges by questioning the organizations we audit and being open to self-reflection. We take great pride in our work and the profession, recognizing audit as a specialized field. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow our Audit practice and invest heavily in our people, their skills, and the available technology. We are transforming our business and the way we serve our clients.

Our Banking and Capital Markets Audit practice is a leader in the industry. We have an extensive portfolio of prestigious clients, including global banks, brokers, challenger banks, and FinTech companies. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide audit services for both large and smaller audits, working across a wide range of client roles that align with your interests or offer new challenges. You will also have the chance to help our clients enhance or transform their operations while maintaining the highest levels of audit quality.

Our Central Commercial Audit practice consists of five networked offices located in Birmingham, East Midlands, Milton Keynes, Bristol, and Cardiff. With a rapidly growing marketplace and over 500 clients, this practice offers an excellent environment to build your career. We audit a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to major public sector organizations, FTSE100 members, and large global businesses. You will have the opportunity to work on global projects, collaborating with PwC colleagues and clients from around the world to deliver high-quality results for our clients.

Our summer internships provide valuable insight into PwC's business and culture. You will experience the work and life at PwC and collaborate with experienced professionals on real client projects. The opportunities for learning and growth are unmatched, so be ready to dive in and make the most of this experience.

In this role, you will provide market-leading audit services to a diverse range of clients, including a significant share of FTSE 100 companies. Our clients come from various industries within financial services, such as banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance. Through our audit work, we help organizations navigate regulatory complexities and strengthen trust and transparency in their businesses.

Joining us will allow you to learn about our business, build your network, and work alongside specialists in your chosen area. You will receive on-the-job training that prepares you for client projects, giving you valuable insights into our work and what matters most to our clients, the economy, and the broader community. Our internships are designed to launch your career, and based on your performance, you may have the opportunity to join one of our Graduate Programs after graduation. Graduate offers will be for the same office and business area where you completed your internship.

To be considered for this role, you should be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Alternatively, you should be in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a confirmed one-year postgraduate place. You should also have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We assess your progress based on the grades you obtained in your last completed year of academic study.

Once you have submitted your application, you will have seven days to complete the online test, which is the first stage of our recruitment process. Assessment centers for this role will take place between December 18, 2023, and January 28, 2024, or February 19 and March 4, 2024.
