Trainee 2024
Job Description
Trainee 2024 Position Description
There is a digital revolution happening in the UK and our work is at the forefront of it. Every day, our members come to work knowing that they are making a real impact in exciting industries such as Energy, Telecoms, Central Government, Space, Defence & Intelligence, and Cyber Security. At CGI, there is never a dull moment.
In our eyes, you are the future generation of leaders and technical experts, and we are proud to offer you numerous opportunities to help you reach your full potential. Join us as a Trainee and you will take your career to places you never thought possible.
The Role:
As a Trainee, you will play a significant role in the solutions we provide to our clients. You will contribute to the success of our projects through IT Service Delivery Management, Project Management, and accurate data and reporting. Your responsibilities may vary over time and can include working as part of a larger team or working on individual activities. While you may start in one area of the business, there is a huge opportunity to move internally in the future, allowing you to grow your career in the direction you desire under a permanent contract.
What you'll get:
As a Trainee at CGI, you will be part of a unique culture that encourages innovation, decision-making, and personal growth. You will have the freedom to chart your own career path and achieve your full potential. We also offer free sports and social clubs, diversity networks, and local office events that provide opportunities to relax and enjoy yourself with like-minded members from across CGI. With support from a buddy and managers, as well as the opportunity to obtain professional qualifications and 24/7 access to e-learning, our goal is to build on your potential and help you realize your career ambitions.
Location:
We are currently hiring Trainees for our London and Reading hubs. Our working approach is based on our client's needs, but we also value your preferences. In a post-pandemic world, we are open to discussing whether a role can be office-based, home-based, flexible, or hybrid. As CGI is a consultancy, your projects may be based in locations other than your base location, so be prepared for travel. Each business unit operates from different offices, so flexibility is encouraged.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a genuine interest and passion for technology. Our Trainees come from various backgrounds and education levels, so specific qualifications are not required. However, you should be able to show applied interest in the industry. If you have attended a training boot camp with QA, Fast futures, Firebrand, or any other training provider, please let us know in your application.
Insights you can act on:
While technology is essential for our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are the key to business success. When you join CGI, you become a trusted advisor, collaborating with colleagues and clients to provide actionable insights that deliver meaningful and sustainable outcomes. We call our employees "members" because they are CGI shareholders and owners. As owners, we work together to build a company we are proud of. We have been pursuing this dream since 1976 and have become one of the world's largest independent providers of IT and business consulting services. At CGI, we value diversity and strive to create an inclusive work culture where everyone belongs. We collaborate with clients to build more inclusive communities. As an equal opportunity employer, we empower all our members to succeed and grow. If you require accommodation during the recruitment process, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you.
Ready to be a part of our success story? Join CGI, where your ideas and actions make a difference. This employer is a corporate member of myGwork, an LGBTQ+ inclusive business community.
