Senior Manager, Security Assurance
Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Security Assurance, within the Nuance Security department of the Microsoft Security Response Center team (MSRC), your role will be to lead all assurance initiatives in the UK. You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our security roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with Microsoft's strategic requirements and upholds the highest standards of security, privacy, and compliance. This collaborative role involves working with various strategic partners, both internal and external, to enhance our security posture and demonstrate this to our executive leadership. While technical knowledge is important, effective collaboration and communication skills are even more crucial.
Minimum qualifications for this role include experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection, or a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or a related field. Experience in people management is also required. Additionally, the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is necessary for this role, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
In this position, you will collaborate with senior leadership to integrate executive security priorities into our overall strategy. You will engage with various internal and external stakeholders to communicate and advocate for our security initiatives and principles. Regular reporting to senior leadership on the status, challenges, and achievements of the security teams will be expected, as well as defining and producing executive communications and presentations on Security Assurance activities.
