Electrician
Job Description
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong relationship between the business and our clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a high level of technical knowledge in the electrical industry. The working hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work upon request.
Key responsibilities of this role include carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspections, and testing. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and fixing faults, as well as performing electrical remedial works and new inspections. Additionally, you will be required to complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs, and ensure that all company works adhere to desired standards. Providing exceptional customer care and promoting a positive perception of the company is crucial, along with complying with company procedures and policies.
Other requirements for this role include a valid UK Driving Licence, experience in electrical repair and maintenance (preferably within the public sector), and a strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the Electrical Trade. Good communication skills, the ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings, and proficiency in IT are also necessary. You must be committed to delivering excellent customer service.
The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on experience. Benefits include 23 days of holiday per year (rising to 25 days after two years of employment), a buy and sell holiday scheme, access to a pension scheme, a company vehicle, fuel card, and company phone and tablet device. All necessary plant tools will be provided, and you will receive time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours, double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working, and the opportunity for weekend work. Additionally, you may be required to be on-call after hours, with standby and call-out rates provided. A flexible working approach is available upon agreement.
