Software Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our team in London. Our company has experienced continuous growth and success in the UK Government and Law Enforcement sectors. Our employees are at the heart of our success, and we pride ourselves on our ability to solve complex problems for our customers. Our team is made up of ingenious, innovative, and dedicated individuals who are passionate about what they do. We value diversity and believe that it contributes to our success. We work in teams, combining different disciplines to create high-quality solutions. Our employees work hard and often go the extra mile, but we also recognize the importance of work-life balance. We encourage career development and provide opportunities for employees to rotate to new projects or face new challenges. Our diverse range of clients and sectors provides numerous opportunities for career growth and development.
As a Software Engineer, your primary role will be coding. We primarily use Java, but you will also work with a range of other technologies. We are looking for individuals with varying levels of coding experience, from those early in their careers to those at the top of their game. Some of the technologies we use include C#, React, PostGres, SQL Server, Kafka, ActiveMQ, ElasticSearch, AWS, Ansible, WSO2, REST, Docker, API Gateways, JavaScript, and Mongo. If you have experience with any of these technologies, we would love to hear from you. If not, we are willing to provide training and support to help you learn.
We provide a coaching and supportive environment for our employees. We offer opportunities to lead teams, but it is not mandatory. We value work-life balance and offer up to 30 days of holiday per year. We also offer flexible and part-time working options. We believe in continuous learning and development, and we provide career managers and innovation days to help employees develop their skills and career aspirations. We also offer a bonus scheme and private medical and dental insurance. Our company has various Diversity and Support groups that employees are welcome to join, covering topics such as gender diversity, mental health, and wellbeing.
We are committed to helping our employees stay up to date with the latest tools and technologies. We value software development in Java and web technologies, as well as the ability to extend and improve open source software, work with cloud technologies, and database technologies. We offer access to hundreds of projects within the UK Government, allowing employees to try new fields or technologies. Role rotations are supported to encourage continuous learning and career development.
If you are interested in joining our team, please get in touch. At BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, we embrace hybrid working, allowing employees to work in different locations and at different times. We believe in diversity and inclusion and have a culture that values employees with different perspectives, skills, and backgrounds. Our mission is to help defend governments, nations, and societies from cyber-attacks and financial crime. We have decades of experience in the government sector and are dedicated to protecting critical networks and infrastructure.
